Bizarre and offensive

www.PenNerStyLe.de
Looking for something bizarre and offensive to cap your night of web browsing? Try this video... I'm not going to explain just what I was looking for when I found this video. The sight seems to be German but everything on it is in English. I'm not even sure I find this video amusing, but I'm posting it because it's my right as an American to be able to abuse free speech with flashes that say cunt over and over and over again. The tune is surprisingly catchy, though, so watch you don't start singing it on the bus.

PS. I also think the guy in the flash is cute, especially with his accent. There all my cards on the table.

The Hazzard's music video 'Gay Boyfriend'
Ah one of my favorite vids. not quite as good as Johnny McGoverns Soccer Practice video, but still very funny.
I love all that gay stuff, what can I say.

That's really all I wanted to say in this post. I love the Oprah. I can't help it... The closest thing I can compare my love for Oprah to is my love for Poptarts. Every molecule of my snarky liberal elitism tells me that it's so wrong for so many clear and tangible reasons, but I love it so much.
DAMN is she good. I'm powerless to stop myself. I watched her talk to Rachel Ray, the most worst thing to happen to TV food since Julia Childs died, and I still liked it. IF my dad hadn't come in and condescended/ told me to go to sleep, I'd be in there now, getting hair care tips from Naomi Campbell. I couldn't be a bigger sucker for the Oprah. And that woman deserves a the. Don't ask why, just obey the Oprah.

BTAA - British Television Advertising Awards

BTAA - British Television Advertising Awards
This may be a sign of how much free time I have until school starts but I spent about two hours this morning (partially because of my stop and go connection) watching the winners of the British television advertising awards. These are way way fucking better than American ads. Especially the Garrison Keillor Honda one, the Lynx ad (I think lynx is like axe, but I'm not sure), actually most of the mare really funny. Some are kind of crass (like the one for something akin to the make a wish foundation where the leukemia boy's wish is to urinate of the high dive) and some are quite opaque (like the one where the little chinese girl eats a singing cherry?). Anyway, they can ass kick our ads any day.
I think ads can be art. I mean we can be crass about how corporate they and how it's not art if you're paid to create and told what to do and how to do it. But think about it.. I mean, have you ever been in an italian church? It's the same thing. really, they were hired to paint, and told what to paint, and if the priest (or whoever) didn't like it, then it was changed....
Not of course that all ads are art, I mean, those red neck pride ads for KFC? not art... But we should appreciate good ads as little bite size cinematic experiences. at least try...

rant over.

Ctrl+Alt+Del - Tragically l337

Ctrl+Alt+Del - Tragically l337
I found a new web comic through GRRM. (they made a reference to him in a comic and he put it on his site below the creepy baby pictures) most of the video game jokes are way over my head. But the fight club reference in this one is too brilliant for words.

I'm back

Well, I'm back.

I said I'd be in NYC for 5 weeks. I was and it was awesome. I made my 1st movie, I saw avenue Q (front row, baby), I smoked a hookah for the first time and I got drunk for the 1st time. I had way too much of a social life to bother posting.

Then I went to Maine with my family for 4 weeks. That's four weeks of dial up connection and no TV. And my iPod broke. I did a lot of knitting (I'm making a sweater) like 5 1000 piece puzzles, and listened to NPR all the time.
god I'm glad to be home. I'll start doing substantive posts soon I swear, I just got back, what can I do?

In the meantime, do yourselves a favor and see Heights, it's one of the best movies I've ever seen. Really. I saw it twice in like a week, at the Paris theatre in New York. I'm not going to spoil it by telling you much about what it's about but it's amazing... Go see it if you can find it (it's pretty indie last I checked).
